THE STORY
Circumstances
Police officer of the Police Directorate in Brno na Moravě, born 19 October 1898. During the occupation he joined the resistance organisation Obrana naroda (Defence of the Nation) (police group) and cooperated in intelligence activities. On 6 January 1940 he was arrested by the Gestapo and imprisoned in Brno, Vratislav, Mírov and Diez. He was sentenced to death for treason by the People\'s Court in Frankfurt am Main. He waited a full 100 days in solitary confinement for his sentence to be carried out. He was executed in Frankfurt am Main on 19 February 1943 at 20:25. He received the Czechoslovak War Cross 1939 in memoriam.
