THE STORY
Circumstances
On the morning of Saturday 14 May 2022, the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) of the Toulouse Criminal Investigation Department (Haute-Garonne) was called out to an intervention. As the unit was about to leave, Chief Brigadier Christophe Lavigne, aged forty-five, suffered a heart attack. Despite rapid treatment by the emergency medical services, he unfortunately died.
