Frans van Os (83)

On 21 November 2023, Frans van Os passed away at the age of 83. Frans van Os was a household name in both the state police - and also in the region period. He started his career in the Beek en Donk group and later transferred to the Gemert group. At the time, Frans was the youngest chief constable in the national police. After the reorganisation, he became division chief Gemert. When he was in his mid-50s, he took early retirement from active service. But remained active as an advisor to chief of police Raeven for several more years. After retirement, Frans went to live with his Swiss girlfriend.
