Emanuel Svačina (41)

Police officer of the Police Directorate in Prague, born on 24 December 1900. During the occupation he was involved in the Blaník resistance group. He was involved in hiding weapons and obtaining valuable intelligence information about the activities of the Nazi security forces, which was passed on to other resistance organisations, especially the military Defence of the Nation. He was arrested and sentenced to death by the People\'s Court on 7 August 1942 for treason, aiding the enemy and inciting treason (resistance activities). He was executed in Berlin-Plötzensee on 5.11.1942 by guillotine. In October 2023, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Prague Nusle.
