Josef Ježek (29)

Member of the gendarmerie, born 28.10.1912, commander of the station Sedlec district Rokycany in Bohemia since 1940 retired. During the occupation he was involved in the resistance organization Úvod, he was hiding the paratrooper Oldřich Daňek from the Steel parachute and other wanted persons. On July 4, 1942, he committed suicide by ingesting poison during arrest by the Gestapo in his family home in Starý Plzenec, Plzeň-Venkov district. He was buried in Stary Plzenec.
