Ladislav Stanêk (29)

Police worker at the Police Directorate in Brno na Moravě, born 22 June 1912. During the occupation he joined the resistance in the Defence of the Nation (Brno-West group, Komín section) He was arrested on 2 May 1942 for helping his half-brother Jindřich Čoupka, who returned to the occupied homeland as a paratrooper. He was sentenced to death and the confiscation of all his property by the state court in Brno on 1 June 1942 for disturbing public order and security and for preparing treason, and was executed the same day in Brno. He has a cenotaph in the Komín Cemetery.
