THE STORY
Circumstances
Member of the gendarmerie, born on 12 March 1915, of the emergency unit in Tábor in Bohemia. In the gendarmerie barracks in Tábor he hid his brother, paratrooper sergeant Arnošt Mikš from the ZINC paratroopers, shot on 30 April 1942 during a firefight at Požary. He was arrested and executed by shooting together with his younger brother Antonín Mikš on 31 May 1942 in Prague Kobylisy. He received the Czechoslovak War Cross 1939 in memoriam.
