THE STORY
Circumstances
Gendarmerie officer, born 9 February 1911, station Hranice, district Hranice na Moravě.
On 29 July 1941, he was arrested by the Gestapo from Hranice on suspicion of listening to a foreign radio and imprisoned in the Hranice detention centre and sentenced by a German martial court for a crime against the war economy to be handed over to the Gestapo and to have all his property confiscated. He died on 5 May 1942 in the Mauthausen concentration camp. He has a cenotaph in Hranice na Moravě.
