THE STORY
Circumstances
A member of the gendarmerie in Bohemia, born 7. march 1912. During the occupation he served in the ranks of the 311th squadron of the RAF as a deck gunner and was on 11.4.1942 shot down with the machine Vickers Wellington KX-Z Z8838 with 5 other crew members over Holland near Bergen when returning from a raid on Essen. He was buried in the cemetery in Huisduinen (Den Helder). He received the Czechoslovak War Cross 1939 in memoriam.
