THE STORY
Circumstances
Rudi B. was checked in Enschede city centre on 30 September 2004. It was suspected that he was carrying hard drugs. In front of the side entrance of the Irene Promenade, the coke-addicted German grabbed his pistol and shot Sergeant Jan Wind dead. The policeman died almost immediately. He was 47 years old.
