Giuseppe Galelli (49)

He died in the late morning of 25 January in a road accident on his way to duty. On that day, Superintendent Galelli was travelling in his car along the A2 motorway when, having reached kilometre 405 in the municipality of Seminara, he was involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle and died on the spot. He was due to take up duty shortly afterwards at the Guard Corps of the Mobile Department of Reggio Calabria. The non-commissioned officer, respected and appreciated by his many colleagues, had previously served at the Flying Squad of the Catanzaro Police Headquarters and later at the Catanzaro Lido police station.
