Stefano Del Piero (49)

He died on 22 April in Treviso hospital, where he had been admitted following the violent illness that had struck him around midnight on 19 April, while he was in the offices of the Flying Squad of the Treviso Police Headquarters, drawing up his end-of-shift papers. Immediately rescued by the other colleagues present, who gave him immediate cardiac massage, and then by the staff of the ambulance that arrived, assistant chief coordinator Del Piero was taken to Ca\' Foncello Hospital, where he died without regaining consciousness. Assistant chief coordinator Stefano Del Piero, before being transferred to the Treviso police headquarters, where he was in charge of the Flying Squad, had previously served at the Milan police headquarters.
