Marco Torre (27)

He died on 25 June in Rome in a serious road accident on his way to duty. That morning, shortly after 7 a.m., the young officer was travelling along the capital\'s Grande Raccordo Anulare on his motorbike to go on duty. When he reached the 11.7 kilometre marker between the Selva Candida and Cassia exits, he collided with a car for reasons that are still being ascertained, and the motorbike caught fire. Death was instantaneous. Officer Torre left behind his partner and a one-year-old son. Before being transferred to Rome, he had served in Milan.
