He died on the evening of 2 October, struck down by an illness at the Pescia police station. That evening, Assistant Chief Coordinator Guida had accompanied a person to the office for some checks. While they were being carried out, the policeman fell ill and asked to lie down on a small sofa in an office. His condition suddenly deteriorated, causing his death. An operator held in great esteem by colleagues and citizens who had the opportunity to appreciate his profound professional and human qualities, Assistant Chief Coordinator Guida had joined the police force at the end of the 1980s; he served at the Pistoia Police Headquarters, first at the Flying Squad Section and then at the Anticrime Division. He was later transferred to the Pescia Police Station, where he always carried out operational services related to territorial control. He left his partner and a son. He would have retired in May.
