THE STORY
Circumstances
Maximilian and his colleagues from the Dresden Joint Investigation Team (GFG) wanted to stop and check a suspicious vehicle at around 11.30 am. Maximilian was behind a police car at the time, possibly to throw out a nail belt. When the car thieves fled, Maximilian was run over and fatally injured. All the perpetrators were arrested by his colleagues.
