Guillaume Kip (35)

On Tuesday, 24 June 2025, at 10:45 p.m., Police Inspector Guillaume KIP and his colleagues from the Luxembourg Traffic Police spotted a vehicle on the Brussels-Luxembourg E25 motorway. They suspected it was being used to transport drugs. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop, and a chase ensued. Narcotics were thrown out of the windows of the suspect vehicle.
The car continued on its way into France. At around 11:30 p.m., the fleeing vehicle came to a stop on the D14 road near Angevillers in France, on the Saint-Michel descent. Several individuals got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, crossing the road in the opposite direction. Guillaume KIP pursued them. At that moment, a vehicle struck Guillaume and one of the fugitives. Guillaume was killed instantly.
Guillaume KIP, aged 35, was a former soldier. He then decided to become a police officer and joined the 73rd class of the Namur Police Academy in May 2019. He then took up his duties with the Patrol and Surveillance Unit of the Luxembourg Traffic Police. He was the father of two children and lived in the village of Warisy.
The non-profit organisation Belgian Blue Line has produced a patch in tribute to Guillaume KIP to raise funds for his family.
