THE STORY
Circumstances
In the early hours of 18 March 2026, 37-year-old police constable Julien Arnaud was involved in an accident as he was finishing his shift at the police station in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines).
The officer was riding his motorbike home towards Conflans when a lorry collided with him at the junction of Rue Pereire and Route Albert-Priolet.
Around ten firefighters and two ambulances were called to the scene. On arrival, the victim was in cardiac arrest. Despite prolonged attempts at resuscitation, the officer could not be saved.
