THE STORY
Circumstances of death
On May 18, 1995, colleague Paul Reid and colleague Phillip Carr were returning to base from a mission at Sarajevo Airport. As they drove through Snipers Alley in the city, their service vehicle was struck by a sniper bullet, causing it to spin out of control. Fellow Sniper Phillip Carr and fellow Sniper Paul Reid were fatally wounded.
