THE STORY
Circumstances
Colleague Adolf Katzenbeisser died on July 24, 1998, while pursuing an offender with a stolen vehicle. When the colleague and another colleague saw the stolen vehicle, they wanted to stop it and arrest the perpetrator. However, the latter drove head-on into the vehicle of the two police officers, killing the colleague and seriously injuring the other colleague.
