Gerhard Rippl (25)

The colleague Gerhard Rippl died on 14.06.1993. After a robbery the colleague tries to catch the perpetrator. The perpetrator, a criminal with multiple convictions, shoots the colleague and continues to flee. In a store, he takes several hostages. A negotiator manages to get the offender to release the hostages. After the perpetrator hears that he has killed police officer Gerhard Rippl, he tries to shoot another colleague with a well-aimed shot. The colleague was lucky that his cell phone, which he was carrying, saved his life, as it intercepted the bullet. The perpetrator then committed suicide.
