THE STORY
Circumstances
The gendarmerie confiscated the driver's license of the later perpetrator. The perpetrator threatened to get it back and was observed trying to walk to the nearest police station. An alerted patrol with colleague Hermann Gruber encountered the perpetrator, who immediately fired at the police officers. The colleague Hermann Gruber was fatally shot. The perpetrator then killed himself.
